Have you ever given it much thought about what a real successful business model is? Just look at all the very wealthy successful businesses and what system they have in place. Think about McDonalds with their $1 menu. How about Barnes and Noble where they let you come into their store and read their books for free, first. Then you have free weekends to watch HBO before they charge you. Think Oprah, she has her very successful TV show but then earns from her magazine and products she sells on her website. Can you see the business model that they are using?
Here is how to have a successful online business:
1) Give away free information:
People don't want to be sold but they are always interested in free information. That information needs to be relevant and add value to the customer. Most people are already in a business opportunity and aren't interested in yours. But they are willing to learn how to successfully market themselves or their current business on the internet. So if you were to supply those people with informational products that will benefit them, you will build their trust and they will want to see more of what you have to offer. Give away things such as ebooks, webinars and MP3's. Bring them to live coaching calls and introduce them to what you have to offer. Never sell them on anything.
2) Offer your products at a low price:
After enticing your customer with informative and helpful information that can benefit them in their current business, they will be curious to find out what else you have to offer. Start them out with a low price item, preferably under $20. Everyone has $20 to spend if they know they are receiving helpful information. Send this information to them at their home in the form of a CD, report or booklet. You will build more trust with people if they know you took the time to mail them information.
3) Always follow up:
Be sure to follow up with them at least five days after they have received the information. Most people don't take the time to call their prospect to find out if their information was helpful or if there is anything else you may be able to help them with. A simple follow up call can mean a future client for years to come.
4) Have 2 to 5 other products:
Once you have enticed your prospect with a low price item and they have seen the value in this, be sure that you have other products to offer them at various prices. Some will go for the $97 product and some will purchase everything you have at whatever price you are charging. But only if you are adding value to your customer.
5) Show them your primary program:
Only after your prospects have received free information, have purchased a few products from you and now trust that you are legitimate, then you can introduce them to your primary program. Never lead with your primary program. Always offer free helpful information that can benefit them in their current opportunity. Most people are only interested in learning how to promote their primary program. If you have built enough trust with them, they see the system that you have in place, then they may be interested in joining your primary business as well.
In order to be successful with an online business, you have to have a system in place. A true system is only a system when what you sell leads to multiple back-end upgrade sales which then leads the consumer to monthly repeat orders. If you want to have a successful online business, you need to have a true system in place in order to grow your business. This is a long-term successful way to make a living online. It takes patience, work and a community that can help you learn and grow.
